LabVIEW Fundamentals Course

This course is ideally suited for new users with a basic understanding of programming, and individuals looking to refresh their LabVIEW knowledge.

Course Overview:
We will take you on a journey through LabVIEW, starting from the beginning with the basics. By the end of this course, you will be proficient in:

• Creating applications in the LabVIEW programming environment
• Communicating with NI-DAQ devices and reading data from them
• Storing and retrieving data from disk
• Displaying measurement data on the user interface
• Developing LabVIEW applications for basic automated measurements
• Enhancing programs with functionalities to analyze measurements
• Using common design patterns in LabVIEW
• Troubleshooting and debugging LabVIEW code

LabVIEW Advanced Course

Ideal for individuals who have finished the Fundamentals course or have similar expertise and are finding it challenging to scale their applications. This course is designed for creating medium to large applications, through the use of new design patterns and Object-Oriented Design (OOD).

Course Overview:
This advanced course goes beyond the basics, preparing you for the complexities of professional software development for medium- to large-scale applications.

• Designing and scaling large applications, transcending basic design patterns
• Managing communication between parallel loops using Queues and Events
• Applying Graphical Object-Oriented Programming (GOOP) for robust and scalable application development
• Utilizing OpenGDS development suite for class and method creation
• Integrating classes with fundamental design patterns/architectures for wide-ranging application development
• Creating installers, executables, and packages for application deployment
• Introduction to Source Code Control
• Introduction to UML Class Diagrams for efficient design and documentation
