VI Technologies organiseert in samenwerking met Symbio de cursus LabVIEW Object Oriented System Design in Nederland. De cursus duurt drie dagen en wordt gegeven in het Nederlands. Het cursus materiaal is in het Engels.

LabVIEW Object Oriented System Design

This course teaches the basics of object oriented development and design with LabVIEW and gets you off to a flying start right from the beginning. Most people who start working with object orientation experience it as a threshold to get over, before they have changed their way of thinking. This course is designed to help you get over this threshold and show you how you can benefit from object orientation. Our trainers have substantial experience in object orientation in LabVIEW and are happy to share this with you.

The work methods and graphical notation (UML) that are needed to work with object orientation are used in this course. During the programming exercises you get a chance to apply the theoretical knowledge immediately and gain practical experience of using LabVIEW’s native object orientation support and Endevo GOOP Development Suite. The design exercises help you get in to an object oriented mindset. The more advanced techniques that are taught in this course can be used to create layered architectures to facilitate maintenance of your applications. Theory is alternated with practical exercises throughout the course.

o Object oriented system development vs. traditional LabVIEW development
o Classes, methods and data included in LabVIEW 8.20
o Classes by-value vs. by-reference
o Inheritance and dynamic methods
o Aggregation – using the class as a building block
o Object oriented design
o Tools for using classes by-reference – The GOOP Development Suite
o Programming exercises – classes, by-value and by-reference, aggregation, inheritance
o Design exercises
o Application Exercise – design and build an object oriented test system!
o UML introduction – the most important diagrams and how to use them

Course Objectives

To goal of this course is to get you over the first threshold and into the object oriented mindset, to give you a good foundation for further development on your own.

Target Audience

LabVIEW-developers who would like to improve their ability to build maintainable test systems.

Prerequisites

The exercises require you to be able to program LabVIEW. A minimum of about one year of LabVIEW development experience is helpful for maximum benefit from this course.

Course binder with 150 Power Point slides with text comments (notes pages). All theory and exercises are included in the course material. CD with exercises and solutions.
